Crackies was first established in 1998, with the founder and creator. After working in the wine industry decided to try his luck at making a typical product from Vilafranca using Marcona almond and chocolate.
Restless and perfectionist, spirit led him to enlist the services of a food scientist specializing in the field of confectionery along with the support and experience of his parents.
In 2002 he created Crackania®, small, sweet almond chocolates with a unique flavor. Using a careful selection of raw materials, his artisan pastry shop produced mango an cinnamon, passion fruit and orange blossom-flavoured Cracknia® and the typical traditional Crackania® of Vilafranca.
Crackies has special ties with the culture and traditions of Vilafranca and cooperates in varius projects in the city, such as the Castellers (Humans Castles), the Basilica of St. Mary and the Dragon of Vilafranca del Penedès. Furthermore, its export-driven approach has led the company to take part in international trade fairs such as the ISM in Cologne, the Specialiy & Fine Food Fair in London or the SIAL in Paris.
Crackies has a store that is open to the public in the centre of Vilafranca del Penedès, where all the products ranges it has developed over the years are displayed: Crackania® with its many different flavors, chocolate-coated products such as hazelnuts, pistachios or candied fruit and Christmas sweetmeats.
The “delicatessen” products of Crackies are suitable for any occasion and make wonderful gifts.
